I think R2 was still good, but it lost its hardcore base, the mp in rfom felt unique, whereas in r2 it didnt. Another thing...and it doesnt get mentioned often is the difference in the community on r2 compared to rfom, the party support for rfom was great, in-built friends list, great party system...sometimes we'd just sit off in the party section for a while talking before we got into a game.

My fav games this year have been ME2, GoW 3 & HR
Heavy rain simply because i've not played a game like that before.
ME2 because everything it did, it did well...looked good, fluid gameplay, good story etc

Microsoft and Sony were late to the party, simple as....but they seen a good lane to go down this gen and hopped on.
I dont believe Sony or Microsoft would of came out with the Move or Kinect respectively if nintendo hadnt done the wii this gen. It was a risk...but one that paid off and props to ninty for that.

never understood why the psp gets hate though, might not have the quality blockbuster ip's like PS3 but its shifted alot units in its time.
I prefer japanese devs over the majority of western ones. To be honest i've personally had more fun over the years playing japanese consoles and japanese developed games. So i actually care. Yeah there's been some awful games that have come from japan this generation but there's also been Kojima's MGS4 & Yamauchi's GT5 for example which show that passion and love for the industry is still thriving with some developers in japan.
